Strengthening Community Capacity for Evidence-Based Forest Restoration in Indonesia
The Plan Vivo Foundation and partners UKCEH, DICE, FFI and KK Warsi are implementing the Darwin Initiative funded project Strengthening Community Capacity for Evidence-Based Forest Restoration in Indonesia that aims to develop a strategic evidence-based approach to forest restoration in Indonesia, enabling (i) spatial prioritisation, (ii) restoration interventions, (iii) efficient restoration monitoring and (iv) a route to certification for ecosystem service-based finance through the Plan Vivo Standard.
TLLG is providing support to this project by: i) Developing methodologies to facilitate estimation and measurement of carbon benefits and other ecosystem impact metrics in forest restoration projects certified under the Plan Vivo Standard; ii) Supporting the development of a restoration monitoring app that meets the requirements of Plan Vivo projects; iii) Supporting two Plan Vivo projects to implement restoration monitoring and evaluation in line with the Darwin project requirements; and iv) Representing Plan Vivo, including in relevant field-based activities and project management meetings.
